How To Cope With The Loss of a Loved One

  1. Bnicho Said,

    Jo,

    Good advice, all of it.

I know that until my sister died, I didn’t realize that people DID want to talk about the person that died and the details of the death, especially if it was sudden.

Since then, I’ try to reach out as soon as I know a person has lost someone they love. It helps twofold….to let the person know that you’re there, you won’t abandon them, and to let them talk about it if they want to.

Flowers are nice, but they don’t really say anything, and theres really no reason for them if you’ve already spoken to the person.

If you don’t talk to the person, they don’t think you care, and you do tend to let them drift away for that reason.

Anyway, I agree with your advice. It’s too bad you had to learn it so young.
It DOES make you a more insightful and caring person, though. I do believe that.

Take care, and I look forward to many more of your video’s!
